Join the Philly Puppetry Guild for a full-day celebration of puppetry in all its forms at Day of Puppetry 2026, taking place April 18, 2026 at the Abington Art Center.

This dynamic festival brings together professional puppeteers, emerging artists, educators, and audiences for a day of performances, workshops, films, and hands-on activities across Abington Art Center’s beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.

Presented by the Philly Puppetry Guild, one of the oldest puppetry organizations in the country, the festival reflects the Guild’s ongoing commitment to supporting puppeteers, celebrating the art of puppetry, and building a vibrant creative community in the Philadelphia region.

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Join us outside on our expansive lawn for a fun day of handcrafted gifts by local artists, food, live music and more! Artists from around the region will showcase their work in a range of media including jewelry, ceramics, glass, textiles, painting, and photography. Enjoy handcrafted food and locally brewed beer while exploring our 27-acre sculpture park.

Parking for this event is limited, but additional parking is conveniently located across the street at the Triangle Parking Lot, courtesy of Abington Friends School, on the corner of Meetinghouse and Jenkintown Rd.

Back to the retro! Mark those calendars for Retro Con 2025, September 6th & 7th in Oaks, Pennsylvania!

We’ll be back in Hall A at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, giving us a 67,500 square foot show floor (over 80,000 if you include our lead-in hallway and panel room!) with more than 300 table spaces of retro-related collectibles for sale! Expect toy line favorites such as Transformers, GI Joe, He-man, Hot Wheels, TMNT, ThunderCats, Star Wars, MASK, Battle Beasts, Madballs, Real Ghostbusters, and many more! Also video and board games, comics, trading cards, LEGO, wrestling, dolls, diecast, playsets, model kits, 2D/3D art, tabletop games, physical media, and much more. From casual to hardcore, vintage to modern, we've got collecting covered!

Not just a toy show though… Retro Con is a full-fledged convention! We’ve got special guests, panels, contests, raffles, costumes, tv/movie cars, games, and an atmosphere all our own. Perfect for either a day trip or a full weekend stay!

The antidote to ridiculously priced geek conventions, we're still just $20 at the door on Saturday or Sunday, or you can buy an advance weekend pass for $33 (with no additional fees at check-out). Kids 12 and under get into Retro Con for free with paying adult, and vehicle parking is always free at the expo center!

So come in costume, come as you are, shop the show floor, play the games, check out the panels, participate in the contests, meet the guests, hang out with friends, or any combination of these... No wrong way to Retro!

Enchanted Fairy Festival

Come one, Come all to the Enchanted Fairy Festival!

The Enchanted Fairy Festival is a one-day magical family festival, on September 20th ; that takes place at Springettsbury Township Park in York, Pennsylvania.

We are like a Mini Renn Faire just a different theme. Soooo Dress up/cosplay like a fairy, pirate, princess, magical creature etc.

Families flock to the festival to immerse themselves in four enchanting lands; each bursting with entertainment and activity, featuring performance artists, immersive art installations, animals, games, workshops, food trucks, a magical vendor marketplace and so much more! Find our extensive entertainment on our website!

The festival grounds also feature two performance stages, “The Fairy Stage” and “The Starfish Stage” as well as four enchanted lands; “Fairy Land,” “Wonderland,” “Pirate Cove,” and Springettsbury Township Park's Fall Festival's portion of the event, “Bounce Zone.”

This is a family event for all ages. Come see Magic, Meet a Unicorn, Frolic through bubbles. Learn to be a Pirate. Dance like no ones watching. Listen to the bands. See a Belly dancer. Ask a mermaid how to talk to a dolphin. Dress up, Dress up, Dress up! Be a princess, pirate, troll, fairy, gnome,animal or another magical creature.
